Farm worker dies after using electric fishing device.
(Baonghean.vn) - Along with several others using electric shock devices to catch fish in the Nhan Hac hydroelectric area, Luong Van Cuong (1985) from Na Cong village, Que Son commune, Que Phong district (Nghe An province) was found dead face down in the water.
At approximately 9 PM on May 27, 2018, Mr. Luong Van Cuong from Na Cong village, Que Son commune (Que Phong district), along with his brothers and friends from the village, went to the Quang River in the area of Plant B of the Nhan Hac hydroelectric power plant in Dai village, Que Son commune, Que Phong district, to fish using electric shock devices.
At around 10 PM, someone in the group discovered Luong Van Cuong had fallen face down into the water, his right arm wrapped around his chest, his left arm extended. They immediately called for help from the group, but Cuong had already died. Around midnight, Cuong's body was brought home, and his family is currently making funeral arrangements according to local customs.

It is known that Mr. Cuong has been a worker at Que Phong Rubber Plantation ( thuộc Nghe An Rubber Investment and Development Joint Stock Company) since 2014. Mr. Cuong has a wife and two sons; the eldest is in 8th grade, the youngest in 5th grade. His wife stays at home to work in the fields, and his family is classified as a poor household in the commune.
This afternoon, representatives from the farm where Mr. Cuong worked came to offer condolences and learn about his family's circumstances in order to find ways to support them and alleviate the difficulties for his wife and two young children.
The exact cause of Mr. Cuong's death is currently under investigation.
