Electric shock to catch fish, 1 farm worker died

At about 9:00 p.m. on May 27, 2018, Mr. Luong Van Cuong in Na Cong village, Que Son commune (Que Phong) and his brothers and friends in the village went to Quang river in the area of ​​​​plant B of Nhan Hac hydropower plant in Dai village, Que Son commune, Que Phong to fish with electric shock.

At around 10pm, a member of the group discovered that Luong Van Cuong had fallen face down in the water, his right arm around his chest and his left arm extended. He immediately called for first aid from his group members, but Cuong had already died. After nearly 24 hours, Cuong was brought home and his family is currently carrying out funeral procedures according to local customs.

It is known that Mr. Cuong has been a worker at Que Phong Rubber Farm (belonging to Nghe An Rubber Investment and Development Joint Stock Company) since 2014. Mr. Cuong has a wife and 2 sons, the older one is in 8th grade, the younger one is in 5th grade, his wife stays at home to farm, his family is one of the poor households in the commune.

This afternoon, representatives of the farm where Mr. Cuong is working came to express condolences and learn about his family's situation to find a support plan to reduce the difficulties for his wife and two young children.

The main cause of Mr. Cuong's death is being investigated by the investigation agency.
