(Baonghean.vn) - On August 24th, Lieutenant General Le Quy Dam - Head of the General Department of Engineering and a delegation from the General Department of Engineering inspected and assessed the implementation of engineering work in the first seven months of 2016, the engineering work plan for 2017, and the target program for 2016-2021 in Military Region 4.

During his inspection of technical work at Workshop 41, Warehouse KX5, Workshop 467, and Workshop 467 under the Technical Department; Regiment 654 under the Logistics Department, Armored Brigade 206, and Engineering Brigade 414, and working with the Military Region Command, Lieutenant General Le Quy Dam highly appreciated the results of technical work in the first months of 2016 as well as the technical work plan for 2017 and the target program 2016-2021 set forth by Military Region 4.

A highlight of the technical work in the first seven months of 2016 was that the Military Region's technical sector proactively overcame difficulties and implemented 80% of the annual plan safely. The Military Region thoroughly implemented the motto "maintain well, use durably, safely, and economically" for existing weapons and technical equipment, ensuring the quantity and quality of weapons and technical equipment for training, combat readiness, exercises, rescue, and other unexpected tasks, especially during the 12th National Party Congress, the 14th National Assembly elections, and the elections of People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

At the same time, he participated in the 2016 All-Army Weapons and Ammunition Repair Technician Competition and won first prize overall; he also completed the 2016 All-Army Operational-Level Weapons and Technical Equipment Depot Competition with good quality.
