Inspect and handle agricultural vehicles and homemade 3-4 wheeled motorized vehicles.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 10th, the Traffic Safety Committee of Quynh Luu district held a conference to implement the inspection and handling of agricultural vehicles and self-made 3-4 wheeled motorized vehicles.

In implementing Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated June 29, 2007, of the Government on some urgent solutions to curb traffic accidents and congestion; and the Decisions on supporting the replacement and decommissioning of self-made 3- and 4-wheeled agricultural vehicles and motorized vehicles, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district has issued many official documents directing the People's Committees of communes and towns to distribute forms for vehicle owners to declare and provide relevant documents.

According to Article 1 of Government Decision 78: the beneficiaries of the support are owners of agricultural vehicles and self-made 3- and 4-wheeled motorized vehicles manufactured before December 31, 2007, and before October 6, 2008. They will receive 5 million VND per vehicle for replacement and 9 million VND per truck for replacement.

At that time, Quynh Luu district had 2,664 agricultural vehicles of various types approved for support by the Provincial People's Committee with a total amount of 15.273 billion VND. This money was disbursed to vehicle owners in 2010. However, as of now, through the review process, the entire district currently has 479 agricultural vehicles and self-made 3- and 4-wheeled motorized vehicles in operation, of which 254 vehicles received support as stipulated but were not destroyed, and 225 vehicles were newly purchased.

To definitively address the issue of self-made 3- and 4-wheeled agricultural vehicles and motorized vehicles still operating in the area, the Traffic Safety Committee of Quynh Luu district is urging communes and towns to disseminate information and remind vehicle owners to comply with the law. They are organizing commitment signing ceremonies and forming teams to visit households with such vehicles to encourage their removal. The local Party committee and government are directly responsible for mobilizing the entire political system to seriously implement the Government's policy on the removal of self-made 3- and 4-wheeled agricultural vehicles and motorized vehicles.

The Quỳnh Lưu District Police continue to strengthen inspection and control on major roads to detect, seize, and strictly handle vehicle owners who intentionally violate traffic regulations. This aims to minimize traffic congestion and accidents.
