Proposal to recover more than 13 billion VND from corruption

On the morning of August 23 in Bac Ninh, Working Group No. 3 of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, led by Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee Phan Dinh Trac, chaired a conference to deploy Plan 16 of the Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption in the province.

The main violations were violations of what party members are not allowed to do, population and family planning policies, lack of responsibility, laxity in leadership, land and financial management. According to the report of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, during the reporting period, the Inspection Committees at all levels considered and disciplined 49 Party organizations, including 41 reprimands, 8 warnings, 1,185 party members, of which 401 were party members at all levels, 716 party members were reprimanded, 342 party members were warned, 75 party members were dismissed, and 52 party members were expelled. More than 10 billion VND was recovered and paid to the State budget.

In addition, the authorities have inspected and resolved 176 complaints and denunciations about economic corruption, transferred 9 cases to the investigation agency, recovered corrupt assets, assets misappropriated, and losses due to economic violations of more than 84 billion VND. The total amount of corrupt assets recovered through investigation, prosecution, and trial is more than 13 billion VND, of which more than 5.5 billion VND has been recovered, and more than 7.5 billion VND has not been recovered, which is the amount in the case of Nguyen Manh Dung abusing his assigned duties and arbitrarily ordering shares for others and then not paying the money to the Mekong Delta Housing Development Bank Securities Joint Stock Company, Hanoi branch, causing a total loss of nearly 9 billion VND to the company...
