Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy, Vietnam's representative at Miss International 2025, is receiving significant attention from the public. Despite maintaining consistent performance and a polished image throughout the competition, she is surprisingly absent from the latest prediction list from the prestigious beauty pageant website Missosology.
The ranking is controversial.
Ahead of the final, Missosology released its predicted top 20 list, which did not include Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy. According to this ranking, the beauty queen from Spain was predicted to win the crown, followed by representatives from Peru and Malaysia. The remaining positions in the top 10 belonged to contestants from the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Colombia, Venezuela, and Indonesia.
The fact that Kieu Duy did not make this list has caused much controversy on beauty forums. However, this is just a prediction for reference and does not affect the final results of the competition.
Consistent performance and thorough preparation
Since arriving in Japan, Kieu Duy has consistently maintained her composure and has been praised for her meticulous preparation. The beauty queen, born in 2003, said she often wakes up at 3 a.m. to do her own makeup, hair, and prepare her outfits, ensuring she is always on time for all activities. Her elegant and sweet demeanor is considered to be in line with the criteria of Miss International.
In addition, Kieu Duy actively interacts with international contestants. She frequently posts fun interactive videos, attracting hundreds of thousands of views and receiving much praise for her proactiveness, confidence, and fluent English skills.
Highlights from the semi-final night
At the semi-final round on November 24th, Kieu Duy performed well in the evening gown and swimsuit segments. In the presentation segment, she impressed by greeting in both Japanese and Vietnamese. She shared her inspiration from the proverb "One tree alone cannot make a forest, but three trees together can make a mountain," emphasizing the importance of teamwork.
"I'm here with my sisters, who come from many different cultural backgrounds, but we all share a common goal: to contribute to making the world a better place. We represent love and cultural values. I believe that together, we can create a brighter and better world," Kiều Duy stated.
Expectations to continue the historical success.
Based on her performance, Vietnamese audiences expect Kieu Duy to continue the success of the reigning Miss International, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, who made history by becoming the first Vietnamese representative to win the crown at this competition in 2024. The Miss International 2025 final will take place on November 27th, bringing together more than 80 contestants. There, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy will have her final performance before handing over the crown to her successor.
