Kyiv acknowledges the need for negotiations with Moscow to resolve the conflict.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytry Kuleba said that it is necessary to listen to the voices of both sides in order to resolve the conflict.

On June 17, the TASS news agency reported that Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba told reporters at the Swiss Conference on Ukraine that Russia's presence at the negotiating table is necessary to end the conflict in Ukraine.
According to him, it is clear that "both sides are needed" to resolve the conflict. "Of course, we understand very well that there will come a time when negotiations with Russia will be necessary," the top diplomat stated.
He also acknowledged the differing views of Western and Southern countries on how to end the conflict. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister added: “Yesterday there were opinions from the Southern Hemisphere about the need for difficult compromises. This is not what we heard from our Western partners.”
On June 15th and 16th, Switzerland hosted a conference on Ukraine at the Burgenstock resort. Bern invited over 160 delegations, including those from the G7, G20, and BRICS countries. Russia was not among those invited.
Russian officials have repeatedly emphasized that the Ukrainian crisis cannot be resolved without Moscow's involvement, and therefore the Swiss conference holds little promise.
