Horrific: Young man uses knife to murder four family members.
After killing a relative, Nam went home and murdered his mother, then went to another house and attacked his grandmother and father with knives.

On the afternoon of March 11th, Nguyen Hoang Nam (26 years old) went to a clothing shop in Tan Hiep commune (Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City) to find his mother and used a knife to kill her.
He then went to his grandmother's house in Xuan Thoi Thuong commune, attacked his father and grandmother, and then fled.
Neighbors heard the shouts and rushed over to find the grandmother dead, and the perpetrator's father with both arms severed. He was taken to the hospital but died before arriving.

By evening, the Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police had apprehended Nam in an intoxicated state. Authorities took his statement and conducted a drug test to determine if he had used drugs.
Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang (Head of the Staff Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Police) said that Nam had a criminal record and had just been released from prison. Before murdering his mother, he attacked a relative in Long An, causing the victim's death.
