Horrifying: Young man used knife to kill 4 relatives
After killing a relative, Nam returned home and murdered his mother, then went to another house and slashed his grandmother and father.

On the afternoon of March 11, Nguyen Hoang Nam (26 years old) went to a clothing shop in Tan Hiep commune (Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City) to find his mother and used a knife to kill her.
He continued to his grandmother's house in Xuan Thoi Thuong commune, attacked his father and grandmother, then escaped.
Neighbors heard the screams and ran over to find the grandmother dead, and the father’s arms had been severed. He was rushed to the emergency room but died before arriving at the hospital.

By evening, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department of Criminal Police had arrested Nam in an unconscious state. The police took his statement and also examined whether or not he had used drugs.
Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang (Chief of Staff of Ho Chi Minh City Police) said that Nam had a criminal record and had just completed his prison term. Before killing his mother, he attacked a relative in Long An, causing the victim to die.
