Timely rescue of fishermen whose vehicles were drifting at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing, a sudden strong wind hit the fishermen's boat, causing the engine to break down, putting them at high risk of being unsafe and forcing them to send out a distress signal.
On the morning of October 31, at a location about 1.5 nautical miles southeast of buoy No. 0 (Cua Hoi area, Cua Lo town), the CSB 608 boat force of Squadron 102, Coast Guard Region 1 Command coordinated with Cua Hoi Border Control Station, Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard discovered a basket boat ofFisherman in distressdrifting in level 5-6 wind and waves, fishermen on the boat sent out a distress signal.
Boat 608 quickly carried out the rescue mission, mobile rescue to approach and support the fishermen. The victim was quickly taken from the boat to boat 608 for care and health check.

The cause was determined to be that while fishing in the above mentioned area, a sudden strong wind hit, the fishermen's boat broke down, there was a high risk of being unsafe, and they had to send out a distress signal. The fisherman was Nguyen Huu Truong (born in 1974), from Nghi Hoa ward, Cua Lo town (Nghe An), and his health has gradually stabilized.
Immediately after docking, CSB 608 boat, Squadron 102 coordinated and handed over the victim to Cua Hoi Border Control Station, Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station to complete the procedures according to regulations so that he could return to his family./.
