Timely rescue of a man who jumped off Ben Thuy Bridge in an attempted suicide.
(Baonghean.vn) - A man who attempted suicide by jumping off Ben Thuy I Bridge has been successfully rescued by authorities.
According to information from the Waterway Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, the unit successfully rescued a man who jumped off Ben Thuy I Bridge in an attempt to commit suicide.
Earlier, at approximately 9:45 AM on January 29th, the Waterway Traffic Police Team of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police received a report from residents about a suicide attempt by jumping off Ben Thuy I Bridge (located on the Lam River, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City).

Immediately, the Waterway Traffic Police Team of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police dispatched a task force using a specialized boat to the scene to provide assistance. There, the task force discovered a man struggling to stay afloat on the Lam River.
The man was rescued and brought onto the boat in an unstable mental state. The rescue team provided first aid and psychological support.
The man has been identified as Nguyen Van S. (born in 1973, residing in Block 1, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City).
Later that morning, Mr. S. was handed over to his family in good health.
