Forest fires on Thien Nhan Mountain were extinguished in time.
This afternoon, August 10th, military forces, in coordination with local authorities and residents, promptly extinguished a forest fire on Thien Nhan mountain in Thien Nhan commune.
At 1:30 PM on August 10th, a forest fire broke out in the Eo Vong forest, Khe Lau, Thien Nhan mountain, Hamlet 4, Nam Kim commune (formerly), now Hamlet 15, Thien Nhan commune (Nghe An province).
Upon receiving reports and requests for assistance from local authorities, the Regional Defense Command 1 - Van An, Nghe An Military Command, mobilized 75 officers and staff members, along with militia and self-defense forces and some vehicles, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Luong, Commander of the Regional Defense Command 1 - Van An, to participate in extinguishing the forest fire.
The hot, dry weather, strong winds, and thick layer of dry ground cover caused the fire to spread rapidly and rage fiercely. Dozens of hectares of planted forest, over 10 years old, are at risk of being destroyed by fire, posing a danger to many households living in the area.
With a sense of responsibility and urgency, and with the utmost concern for the lives and property of the people, the unit's officers and soldiers, along with the militia and self-defense forces, coordinated with other forces and the local people to extinguish the forest fire and save the forest.
After more than 5 hours of battling the blaze, by 6 PM on the same day, the fire was basically brought under control and extinguished, ensuring absolute safety for people, vehicles, and firefighting equipment.
