Timely extinguishing of forest fire on Thien Nhan mountain
This afternoon, August 10, the military forces coordinated with local authorities and people to promptly extinguish the forest fire on Thien Nhan mountain, in Thien Nhan commune.

At 1:30 p.m. on August 10, a forest fire broke out in Eo Vong forest, Khe Lau, Thien Nhan mountain, hamlet 4, Nam Kim commune (old), now hamlet 15, Thien Nhan commune (Nghe An).
Receiving the news and request for support from the local authorities, the Defense Command of Region 1 - Van An, Nghe An Military Command mobilized 75 officers, agency employees and militia and self-defense forces along with a number of vehicles, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Luong, Commander of the Defense Command of Region 1 - Van An, to participate in fighting the forest fire.

The hot, dry weather, strong winds, and thick dry cover caused the fire to spread quickly and flare up fiercely. Dozens of hectares of people's forests, over 10 years old, were at risk of being burned down and endangering many households living in the area.
With a sense of responsibility, urgency, and dedication to the lives and property of the people, officers, soldiers of the unit and militia and self-defense forces coordinated with local forces and people to put out the fire and save the forest.

After more than 5 hours of fighting the "fire", by 6:00 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically controlled and extinguished, ensuring absolute safety for people, vehicles and fire-fighting equipment./.
