The mysterious Heaven's Gate Cave at Roi Hill

(Baonghean.vn) - Located about 2km from Lat town (Tan Ky district), near the Con River, lies the Dinh-Chua cave complex, nestled halfway up the Roi mountain range in Hamlet 2, Dien Nam, Ky Tan commune. The two caves are connected by a small passage. The diverse stalactites and stalagmites, along with the majestic scenery of the mountains and forests, create a unique charm for this area. Local people still call the cave the "gateway to heaven" of the Roi mountain range.

The complex of cave temples and pagodas is located halfway up the hill.On Rỏi hill, behind the houses of the local people. The complex of relics is associated with the legend of 99 mountains and 100 phoenixes.

Unlike the narrow entrance, the cave itself is quite spacious, with stalactites stacked upon each other like a masterpiece of art. The locals still call this the "Gateway to Heaven."

The Dinh-Chua cave complex is a place where French and Vietnamese archaeologists have found many artifacts from the Middle Stone Age, belonging to the Hoa Binh culture. It also confirms that this area was inhabited by ancient Vietnamese people tens of thousands of years ago. Currently, locals still consider it a place of worship to pray for peace on full moon days and holidays.
