The final session of the 15th National Assembly solemnly opened

Attending the opening session were leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee: General Secretary To Lam; Luong Cuong - Politburo member, President; Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister; Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat; Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

Also attending were former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; Politburo members, former Politburo members; Party Central Committee Secretaries, former Party Central Committee Secretaries; Vice Presidents, former Vice Presidents; Deputy Prime Ministers, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, former National Assembly Standing Committee; Party Central Committee members; leaders of Central Committees, Ministries, branches, and organizations and local leaders; Ambassadors and Heads of international organizations in Hanoi.

On the National Assembly side, there were comrade Tran Thanh Man - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly; Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Khac Dinh, Nguyen Duc Hai, Tran Quang Phuong, Nguyen Thi Thanh, Le Minh Hoan, comrade Vu Hong Thanh; members of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Heads of Delegations, Deputy Heads of Delegations and National Assembly Deputies of 34 National Assembly Delegations of provinces and cities.

The National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, consisting of 12 delegates, attended the meeting, led by Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

At this session, the National Assembly will conduct a comprehensive review of the term's activities, and at the same time review the largest volume of legislative content ever, discuss and give opinions on socio-economic issues and the State budget, and conduct supreme supervision activities to remove institutional bottlenecks, create a synchronous legal corridor, and unblock development resources to meet the requirements of the acceleration and finishing stages.

Speaking at the opening of the session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: Over the past time, under the comprehensive leadership of the Party, the close direction of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat; the participation of the entire political system, the spirit of consensus and joint efforts of the entire Party, army and people, our country has achieved great, comprehensive and historic achievements.

The 13th Central Party Conference has just been a great success, an important step in preparing for the 14th National Party Congress, and at the same time shaping the strategic vision and direction of the country's leadership in the new revolutionary period. In addition, practical and meaningful activities are aimed at commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly. Therefore, the 10th Session is not only a summary of the term but also the beginning of a new period of development.

After reporting the main contents of the session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent his regards and deep condolences to the people of the localities affected by the recent natural disasters; at the same time, he commended the Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, military forces, police, medical and educational staff, organizations, individuals and other forces who, despite the danger, made efforts to provide relief, arrange accommodation, quickly overcome the consequences, and send students to school.

The National Assembly requested the Government, localities and sectors to continue focusing resources and providing emergency support to damaged areas; at the same time, review and propose to perfect legal policies on natural disaster prevention and control, and climate change response, ensuring the country's sustainable development.

The National Assembly Chairman suggested: With the spirit of "Innovation, democracy, discipline, responsibility, efficiency", National Assembly deputies must concentrate, promote their intelligence and experience to the fullest, all for the benefit of the Fatherland and the People; as General Secretary To Lam said on the morning of September 2, 2025 at the historic Ba Dinh Square: There is no obstacle, no reason that can stop us from reaching peace, prosperity, and the longevity and development of our nation.

The National Assembly listened to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh present the Government's Report, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai present the Verification Report on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the 5-year period 2021-2025; and the projected socio-economic development plan for 2026.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien presented a report summarizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people sent to the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly. Next, the National Assembly Chairman will present a draft report on the work of the 15th National Assembly.
