Strange: A monkey-headed dog has a trunk.

A newborn puppy with a very strange appearance recently appeared on the Facebook page of author Mèo Hoang (Hương rừng Tây Bắc), attracting thousands of views and comments. The puppy's head looks quite similar to that of a baby elephant.

According to an investigation by Dan Viet reporters, the owner of this unusual dog is Mr. Duong Van Quan (residing in Sub-district 1, Muong La Town, Muong La District, Son La Province).

Anh Quân said: "This mother dog is a normal breed, not a German Shepherd. I've been raising dogs for decades, but I've never seen one give birth to such a strange puppy."

The newborn puppy had a peculiar appearance; its head resembled that of a monkey, with a trunk-like protrusion on its forehead, similar to an elephant's trunk. Its two eyes were located directly beneath this protrusion, its ears were small, and its tongue was always sticking out.

Mr. Quân added: “This morning (July 13th), my female dog gave birth to five puppies, one of which looks very unusual. I've raised the mother dog for many years; she's a local breed, weighing less than 20kg, and she was bred with a local breed. I feed her normally every day. I don't understand why she gave birth to such a strange puppy. Compared to the other puppies in the litter, this unusual one isn't much bigger…”

The mother dog and four other puppies were born in the same litter as the strange dog.

“When the news broke, many neighbors came to see it and started talking excitedly. Some said the dog's head looked like a rhinoceros's, others said it resembled a baby elephant's head because of its trunk…” – Quân shared.
