Professor Hoang Chi Bao believes that disciplining officials is inevitably painful, but it is very necessary as a general warning to all officials and Party members.

"This is a very pressing issue, not something to be done at will. The restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus must be considered a revolution, and we must bravely cut out what is unnecessary in order to meet the demands of development," said Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien.

Regarding personnel matters, agreeing with the disciplinary action of dismissing Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh from his position as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, dismissing him from his positions as Standing Committee Member and Executive Committee Member of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term, and removing him from his position as a Member of the Central Executive Committee of the 12th Party Congress due to very serious shortcomings and violations, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien believes that this has a profound deterrent, educational, and preventative effect on society as a whole.

He hopes that in the future, the Central Committee will do more and be more decisive in bringing corrupt and degenerate officials and Party members to light and thoroughly dealing with their wrongdoings.

Professor Hoang Chi Bao, former member of the Central Theoretical Council, believes that the decision to discipline officials who have committed wrongdoings is a necessary and timely action, demonstrating the determination of the Party's high-ranking leaders and meeting the common aspirations of the vast majority of the people to seriously and strictly address the issue of disciplining officials in accordance with the wrongdoings they have committed.
