30th Anniversary of Nghe An Provincial Bar Association

On the afternoon of July 16, the Nghe An Provincial Bar Association held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Bar Association (July 18, 1989 - July 18, 2019). On July 18, 1989, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision 1510 to establish the Nghe Tinh Bar Association consisting of 15 lawyers. After the separation of the province, on January 23, 1992, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision 186 to establish the Nghe An Bar Association on the basis of inheriting the Nghe Tinh Bar Association.

After 30 years of development and growth, Nghe An Provincial Bar Association has constantly strived to overcome all difficulties. Up to now, the number of lawyers is 130 people and 39 people practicing law. Up to now, Nghe An Bar Association is one of the Associations with the highest number of lawyers, ranking first in the country, only behind big cities such as Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Hai Phong and some southern provinces...

The lawyers of Nghe An Bar Association are basically trained at law universities nationwide; among them, many lawyers have doctorate degrees in law, master of law degrees or are studying for master of law degrees and doing doctoral research in law.

With a growing team of lawyers, the quality of work has been gradually improved, contributing to maintaining security and order, social order and safety, creating a stable environment for development and economic integration in the province. In particular, during the past term, the litigation activities of lawyers of Nghe An Bar Association have been constantly improved, lawyers have participated in defending and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of clients in all fields.

In addition to carefully preparing defense arguments, lawyers have attached importance to and improved the quality of litigation in court. Many lawyers do not hesitate and proactively debate with prosecutors to find the objective truth of the case, protect the legitimate rights of their clients, and contribute to protecting justice.

In addition to participating in timely assigned cases, lawyers also participate in free defense for a number of cases with difficult circumstances, policy beneficiaries, meritorious people... to protect their legitimate rights according to the provisions of law.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dang Kim Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Judicial Support (Ministry of Justice) acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Nghe An Bar Association over the past 30 years. At the same time, he requested the Bar Association to deeply understand its mission, constantly improve its knowledge and professional skills, build an increasingly strong organization in terms of staff, thereby gradually improving the quality of activities, contributing to maintaining security and order, social order and safety, creating a stable environment for development and economic integration in the province.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 3 individuals for their outstanding achievements in building and developing the Nghe An Bar Association.
