Celebrating the 45th Anniversary of National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic

December 2, 1975 - the founding event of the People's Democratic RepublicLaosis an important political event, opening a new era of national independence and the right to be masters of the country of the Lao people.

Over the past 45 years, the traditional relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam that President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and Prince Souphanouvong built and the people of the two countries have continued and nurtured through generations have continuously developed strongly in all fields.

Every year, the leaders of the two countries regularly visit and exchange cordially to promote cooperation in various fields. The success that the Lao people have achieved in the cause of protecting and building the country over the past 45 years has always had the great support and valuable and timely assistance of Vietnam.

Vinh Universityis a place to train high-quality human resources for Laos, contributing to building the province's people-to-people diplomacy activities in a practical and effective manner.

Currently, Vinh University has nearly 400 Laotian students studying at the school. To celebrate National Day, in recent times, Laotian students have promoted their study and training movements, organized many cultural and sports activities, and cultural exchanges to celebrate.

On the occasion of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic this year, officials, civil servants, students and trainees of Vinh University continued to participate in the activities of international students; to learn and share in the cultural activities imbued with the national identity of the beautiful country of Laos.

Through these activities, the solidarity and friendship between the people of the two countries as well as the affection between the staff, civil servants and students of the School towards international students in general and Lao students in particular are further strengthened.

From there, help international students identify more clearly their responsibility to study well, practice well to become "Outstanding Global Citizens" with Vietnamese students; together with Vietnamese students, continue to build the especially good friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 groups and 1 individual with outstanding achievements in the work of building the organization and activities of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in 2020. The Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province awarded scholarships to 27 Lao students studying at colleges and universities in Nghe An province.
