Celebrating the 45th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Tran Hai Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association; Dr. Tran Ba ​​Tien - Vice Rector of Vinh University; and representatives from several departments and agencies of Nghe An province.

December 2nd, 1975 - the founding day of the People's Democratic Republic.LaosThis was a significant political event, marking the beginning of a new era of national independence and the right of the Lao people to be masters of their own country.

Over the past 45 years, the traditional relationship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, which President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and Prince Souphanouvong built and which the people of both countries have continued to nurture through generations, have continuously developed strongly in all fields.

Every year, leaders of the two countries regularly make visits and engage in cordial exchanges to promote cooperation in various fields. The success that the Lao people have achieved in the cause of defending and building the country over the past 45 years has always been due to the great support, valuable assistance, and timely support of Vietnam.

Vinh UniversityIt serves as a training ground for high-quality human resources for our neighboring country Laos, contributing to the practical and effective development of people-to-people diplomacy in the province.

Currently, Vinh University has nearly 400 Lao students studying at the university. To celebrate National Day, in recent times, Lao students have intensified their studies and training, organizing many cultural and sports activities, and cultural exchange events to commemorate the occasion.

On this year's National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, faculty, staff, and students of Vinh University continued to participate in activities organized by international students; learning about and sharing in the rich cultural traditions of the beautiful country of Laos.

These activities further strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the people of the two countries, as well as the feelings of affection between the staff, faculty, and students of the school towards international students in general and Lao students in particular.

From there, it helps international students to better understand their responsibility to study well and train well, so that together with Vietnamese students they can become "Outstanding Global Citizens"; and together with Vietnamese students continue to build the exceptionally good friendship between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 1 individual for their outstanding achievements in building the organization and activities of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association in 2020. The Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province also awarded scholarships to 27 Lao students studying at colleges and universities in Nghe An province.
