Celebrating the 49th anniversary of the founding of the heroic 525th Regiment.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 6th, in Vinh City, the Liaison Committee of Regiment 525 (Transport Department, General Department of Logistics) held a traditional reunion to commemorate the 49th anniversary of its founding. Veterans and former soldiers of Regiment 525 attended the reunion.

The 525th Motor Transport Regiment, under the Transport Department of the General Logistics Department, was established in early May 1973. Immediately after its establishment, the regiment directly participated in military transport operations to support the Southern battlefield, fighting and providing combat support.
Throughout its mission, the 525th Regiment, regardless of the dry or rainy season, worked day and night to complete its tasks excellently; it was an exemplary transport unit, highly productive, and courageous in combat… With many outstanding achievements, on September 12, 1975, the 525th Regiment was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State.

After the country was reunified, during the years 1975-1979, Regiment 525 continued to excel in transportation, combat, combat support, and economic development tasks, achieving numerous great victories. In 1983, adapting to the new circumstances, Regiment 525 was disbanded and merged into other units.
Building upon the heroic traditions of the 525th Motor Transport Regiment, the 525th Regiment Liaison Committee has been established. Over the years, the Liaison Committee has united as one, doing a good job of showing camaraderie and mutual support among its members.
