The world wonder Ha Long Bay is about to become a garbage dump.
Recently, many tourists have complained about the pollution of Ha Long Bay, with some suggesting that the world wonder is turning into a garbage dump...
According to feedback from many tourists, when visiting Ha Long Bay they bought tickets at a cost of 600,000 VND per person, but sadly this world wonder is suffering from serious pollution.
Mr. H, a tour guide, said: "This situation has been going on for many years. Many tourists have complained, and the press has devoted a lot of space to it, but I don't understand why it still persists."

There are also opinions suggesting that the Ha Long Bay Management Board is not unaware of this issue, as they have implemented several solutions such as inspections, checks, and handling of acts that harm the ecological environment; organizing the signing of commitments to protect the landscape and environment of the heritage site with organizations and individuals engaged in socio-economic development activities on and around Ha Long Bay; and organizing the collection and transportation of domestic waste to shore for treatment...
However, the current reality shows that these solutions are clearly not very effective, leading to a "garbage-filled Ha Long Bay" that is unworthy of its title as a world wonder. It is time for the leaders of Quang Ninh province, especially the Ha Long Bay Management Board, to take stronger and more effective measures to retain tourists in Ha Long.
The first step is to address the issue of domestic waste and wastewater, as well as the discharge of waste from factories, enterprises, and coal mines around the Bay, which have long been dumped directly into the Bay without treatment.

Next, there's the issue of trash from tourist boats floating on the bay, not to mention the lack of awareness among tourists and vendors who carelessly litter at beach areas every day and every hour.
It is time for Quang Ninh Province to clearly define the responsibilities of the Ha Long Bay Heritage Management Board in collecting floating waste in Ha Long Bay and maintaining environmental hygiene within the heritage area of Ha Long City and related localities. Protecting the environment of Ha Long Bay urgently requires appropriate steps, such as socializing the management of coastal areas of the Bay, entrusting them to local authorities, businesses, and especially organizations responsible for waste collection and treatment.
