Signing of cooperation agreement between the Labor Union and the Nghe An Tax Department.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghe An Tax Department and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) recently held a conference to review and evaluate the results of the implementation of the Coordination Regulations and discuss the content of the coordination program for 2017.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Tax Department; Nguyen Tu Phuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union, along with leaders of the two agencies and leaders of relevant departments and divisions.

In 2016, the Provincial Tax Department and the Provincial Labor Union implemented various measures to carry out the three areas of cooperation outlined in the Regulations (Coordination in propaganda work; support, provision, and exchange of information; and coordination in inspection and auditing work).

In 2016, the Labor Union coordinated with the Tax authorities to disseminate information on the Trade Union Law and Decree 191/ND-CP on the payment of trade union fees to 450 enterprises, with 736 enterprise directors and accountants participating (through conferences); conducted 15 sessions to disseminate tax policies and laws to workers and trade union officials with 2,130 participants; and coordinated 54 inspections on the implementation of tax laws and Decree 191/ND-CP on the payment of trade union fees.

Regarding the content of the coordination work from now until the end of 2017, both sides agreed to identify key tasks such as: directing the District, City, and Town Labor Federations and the Tax Departments to develop specific annual coordination programs, organize implementation according to the program, and report promptly to higher levels as instructed; continuing to coordinate in widely disseminating information to workers, employers, and business directors about tax laws, tax policies, Decree 191/ND-CP, and the Trade Union Law; and strengthening the exchange and understanding of information related to businesses and the fulfillment of tax obligations and trade union fees.

Both sides emphasized coordinating inspection work and strictly handling tax evasion, severely punishing instances of evading trade union fees in accordance with the law; regularly directing and providing information to the Nghe An Labor Newspaper to carry out propaganda work targeting businesses that fulfill their tax obligations and trade union fee contributions well or poorly.
