Ky Son: 19 houses damaged by heavy rain and flooding overnight.

On the evening of May 29th and the early morning of May 30th, heavy rain fell across a wide area of ​​Ky Son district, causing damage to some houses, infrastructure, and crops in the localities.

According to a preliminary report from the Ky Son District People's Committee, the floods damaged 19 houses. These include 2 houses in My Ly commune, 2 in Huoi Tu commune, 7 in Dooc May commune, and 8 in Muong Tip commune.

Regarding transportation and infrastructure, floods swept away a pedestrian bridge in Dinh Son 1 village, Huu Kiem commune, affecting the travel of 7 households with 37 people. Floodwaters also caused the collapse of a concrete bridge at Huoi Khap stream in Na Loi commune, on the Na Loi - Pieng Lau - Huoi Xan road.

Several roads were blocked due to landslides and rising water levels at bridge crossings, including the Noọng Dẻ - Huồi Pốc route (Nậm Cắn commune); the Xiêng Thù - Bảo Thắng route (Chiêu Lưu commune, Bảo Thắng district); the bypass road around Na Loi commune; the Na Loi - Đoọc Mạy - Keng Đu route; the Hữu Lập - Bảo Nam route; and the road leading to Huồi Khơ village, Đoọc Mạy commune.

In addition, some water supply pipelines were washed away and some fish ponds belonging to local residents were flooded. The total estimated damage is over 3 billion VND.

During the heavy rains, the District People's Committee and the District Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command Board directly went to the scene, directing communes to mobilize forces to support the people in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster and repairing immediate damage so that people could feel secure and stabilize their lives.
