Ky Son: 200 new houses have been handed over to the people
(Baonghean.vn) - As of March 23, after 17 days of mobilizing, building foundations and assembling houses for poor households from support sources from the provincial police and the Ministry of Public Security, 200 Ky Son households have been given new houses.
Ky Son has also completed 472/500 house foundations. At the same time, 200/500 houses have been assembled, completed and handed over to the people.
In the first phase of house construction, Ky Son chose Chieu Luu commune as a "point" with 123 households. Up to now, all 123 households of Chieu Luu commune have received new houses. Other localities have also completed 100% of the required foundations and are completing house assembly, such as Huoi Tu commune with 10 houses, Bao Thang commune with 18 houses, Huu Kiem commune with 10 houses. Chieu Luu and Huoi Tu communes alone have completed and handed over 100% of prefabricated houses to the people.

Ky Son aims to complete the site clearance and assemble 500 houses in 9 inland communes before March 30, 2023. In parallel with the handover of houses in 9 inland communes, Ky Son continues to implement phase 2 in 11 border communes.
To prepare for the construction of 500 houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in phase 2 in 11 border communes from the support of the Ministry of Public Security, on March 20, 2023, the Steering Committee for mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in Ky Son district in the period of 2023 - 2025 (referred to as the Steering Committee) issued a Decision to establish 11 grassroots working groups to assist the Steering Committee in implementing the construction of 500 houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in border communes from the support mobilized by the Ministry of Public Security.

The Working Groups are composed of members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and members of the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee as Group Leaders. Members are leaders of district-level departments and offices, leaders, officers and soldiers of Border Guard Stations; Secretaries and Chairmen of communes.
Phase 2 will build foundations and assemble 500 houses in 11 border communes, expected to be completed by June 30, 2023.

Implementing Directive No. 21 - CT/TU, dated February 10, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties, to help poor households in Ky Son have solid houses, the Provincial Police mobilized and supported the construction of 500 houses for poor households and people with housing difficulties in 9 inland communes (phase 1); the Ministry of Public Security mobilized and supported the construction of 500 houses for poor households and people with housing difficulties in 11 border communes (phase 2) in Ky Son district.
Ky Son is a mountainous district on the western border of Nghe An province, 250 km from Vinh city center; bordering 4 districts of 3 provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, sharing a border of more than 203.409 km. The whole district has 20 communes, 01 town (including 11 border communes); is one of the 74 poorest districts in the country. The poverty rate is high (53.36%), with 1,009 households having housing difficulties (review results as of February 30, 2023).
