The District People's Committee has proposed several key solutions regarding the arrangement of crops and livestock based on the current state of irrigation canals and the area suitable for cultivation, along with monitoring and updating weather information to avoid planting during periods of extreme weather conditions.

For flat land, newly reclaimed land, land without reliable irrigation, and land designated for fixed shifting cultivation with high moisture content, consider planting corn in the spring-summer season. For grain crops, minimize the planting of long-duration varieties and prioritize expanding the area of ​​hybrid rice, hybrid corn, and purebred rice.

In terms of structure, Ky Son continues to maintain officially recognized and tested varieties that have yielded good results and are suitable for the district's weather and climate conditions, such as hybrid rice varieties like Nhi Uu 986, Kinh So Uu 1855, Nhi Uu 838; purebred rice varieties like Vat Tu –NA2, Khang Dan 28 or some other local varieties; hybrid corn varieties LVN10, CP888, CP999; for glutinous corn, HN68, HN88 or local corn varieties are recommended; and for peanuts, L14 and L26 varieties are most suitable. The district strives to achieve a spring crop food production of 16,660 tons, including 1,260 tons of rice and 15,400 tons of corn. The livestock sector aims for stable growth of 3-4%, with cattle herds increasing by 6-8%.
