Ky Son handles 23 establishments violating food safety and hygiene
(Baonghean.vn) - To deal with the problem of food safety and hygiene, counterfeit goods, fake goods, and poor quality goods circulating in the market during the 2018 Lunar New Year, from January 25 to February 5, 2018, the interdisciplinary team of the Ky Son border district is strengthening inspection work.

In Ky Son area, there are over 400 establishments trading, producing and processing food of all kinds, most of them are small-scale and household-scale. Lunar New Year is the time when production and business establishments gather many goods to serve the needs of consumers. Taking advantage of this problem, some production and business establishments, for immediate profit, have mixed unsafe goods to sell to consumers.
To promptly prevent the above situation, the Joint Delegation of Ky Son district has inspected the production and trading establishments of grocery products and food service businesses in 21 communes and towns. Here, the inspection team paid special attention to items such as soft drinks, confectionery, alcohol, beer, MSG, fish sauce and some foods. In addition to inspection, the Interdisciplinary Team also carried out propaganda and recommendations for people to recognize and not use poor quality foods of unknown origin. Violations were strictly handled. On this occasion, the team handled 23 establishments violating food hygiene and safety, imposing administrative fines of over 10 million VND.
