Earlier this year, the Spanish High Court decided to investigate allegations of tax fraud against the Catalan club regarding the Neymar transfer. In June, Barca had to pay $6.20 to settle the allegations. President Josep Maria Bartomeu called this payment for "errors in the tax project."

Barca claims they spent £64.12 million to buy Neymar, with the player's parents receiving $45 million and Santos receiving $19.12 million. However, investigators believe the true figure was $93.36 million and that Barca concealed part of the deal. The La Liga champions deny these allegations.

"It's better for us to accept this agreement than to let the unfounded doubts surrounding Neymar continue," President Bartomeu said after paying $6.2 million to the Spanish Public Prosecutor's Office.

However, La Liga doesn't want to be left out. The top Spanish league wants to clarify this questionable agreement by the Catalan club. La Liga claims that the widespread media coverage has forced them to take action.
