These days, the Vietnamese music scene is more vibrant than ever with many works creating an atmosphere of excitement among the people in anticipation of the election of representatives to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Amidst the country's recent political events, musician Vo Xuan Hung fondly recalls the moment he put pen to paper to compose "The Ballot of Trust." The song, created in 2021, coincided with the nationwide focus on the 15th National Assembly elections, carrying the artist's pride and faith in this national event.

"The Ballot of Trust" is written to a bright, spirited melody, aiming for a majestic yet approachable feel. The rhythm, with its strong, march-like tempo, creates a lively, exhilarating atmosphere, blending seamlessly with the spirit of election day – when every citizen joyfully exercises their rights and responsibilities as a citizen.

Regarding the reason for choosing the image of a ballot as the central inspiration, musician Vo Xuan Hung shared that, in his view, a ballot is not only the personal voice of each citizen but also reflects the aspirations, beliefs, and responsibilities of voters towards the development of the country. Each ballot cast today will contribute to the formation of state power organs at all levels for the new term – the place that decides laws, policies, budgets, and supervises all administrative activities. In other words, the ballots of voters will begin a series of decisions that directly affect the effectiveness of national governance for the next five years.

“Observing the atmosphere surrounding election preparations, I sensed a very special energy: the solemnity, excitement, and pride of the people as they directly participate in deciding important national issues. It was this feeling that prompted me to choose the image of the ballot as the central symbol for the song – a simple symbol yet embodying the spirit of democracy, unity, and the people's faith.”Composer Vo Xuan Hung added.
