Playing the trick of 'following the crowd' again

Immediately after the above report was published, hostile and reactionary forces saw this as an opportunity to spread propaganda against Vietnam. Notably, Nguyen Dinh Thang, the leader of the so-called Committee for Rescue of People at Sea, took advantage of this to spread propaganda, distort the situation and deny Vietnam's efforts in preventing and combating human trafficking. Nguyen Dinh Thang erroneously concluded that Vietnam is a country of human trafficking. Following Nguyen Dinh Thang, a number of hostile and reactionary organizations and individuals also gleefully praised and claimed that the US State Department's assessments were a success from their propaganda activities against Vietnam.

From the false information in the report of the US State Department, they "follow the flow" by spreading malicious and fabricated rumors to defame the image and lower the prestige of Vietnam in the international arena, denying the achievements in the renovation cause of the Party, State and people of Vietnam. They slander and defame Vietnam's human rights; distort the socio-economic development path, policies and strategies to contribute to protecting and promoting human rights, maintaining order, safety and social stability in Vietnam... From human trafficking, they have brought it into the socio-economic field, aiming to destroy the investment environment in Vietnam. They infer that Vietnam's investment environment is unsafe, with its ranking in group 3, Vietnam will face sanctions, international companies will hesitate to do business with Vietnam, consumers will boycott Vietnamese goods...

We are no stranger to the plots of Nguyen Dinh Thang and a number of hostile individuals and organizations. Their actions are not for the purpose of fighting to prevent human trafficking in Vietnam as well as in the world as they have been spreading. In fact, their actions are to take advantage of the problem of human trafficking in the world in general and in Vietnam in particular to "polish" their names to attract the attention of international organizations, to seek funding sources but not to serve charity activities but to use for personal expenses. It is this ambiguity and lack of transparency of Nguyen Dinh Thang that has led to accusations and lawsuits within the so-called organization of the Committee for Rescue of Overseas People. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the US State Department released false information and ranked Vietnam in group 3... Nguyen Dinh Thang againhiding behind human rights protection, against human trafficking to sabotage Vietnam.

Vietnam resolutely condemns and strongly opposes all actions that hinder the fight against human trafficking and vehemently opposes and rejects all propaganda and fabrications aimed at denying Vietnam's achievements in protecting human rights in general and the work of preventing and combating human trafficking in particular. Any act of hiding under the guise of human trafficking and taking advantage of false information from the report of the US State Department to propagate against Vietnam by hostile organizations and individuals such as Nguyen Dinh Thang is meaningless and will certainly fail./.
