(Baonghean.vn)- Within 2 days of October 28 and 29, Khe Bu village people in Chau Khe commune (Con Cuong) completed a 100m long and 3m wide rural road. This is the first time this village of Dan Lai community has built a rural road.

Khe Bu is a remote village in the border commune of Chau Khe, Con Cuong district (Nghe An). The village is nearly 30km from the district center, and traffic conditions are still difficult. Therefore, when cement was supplied, people enthusiastically participated in building roads.

Youth union members in the village enthusiastically participated in building rural roads.

Ms. Le Thi Thin, Secretary of the Khe Bu village Youth Union, said: “The villagers are very excited. Many people were in the forest picking bamboo shoots, and when they heard about the construction of rural roads, they came back to join in. No household neglected this common work.”

In addition to 170 people representing each household in the village, the union members also enthusiastically participated. “That is why many households have 2 people participating in road construction and the total number of participants each day is approximately 200,” Ms. Le Thi Thin added.

This was also the first time the young men in the village knew about the work of a bricklayer.

During this campaign to build rural roads, the entire village has completed a part of the total of over 400m of crossroads and alleys in the village. Mr. Vi Dinh Khai, Secretary of the Chau Khe Commune Party Committee, said: Most of the people in the commune strongly support the policy of building rural roads. However, the amount of cement supplied is not enough, so people have only completed a part of the roads in the village.
