On the morning of January 16, Nghe An Department of Health organized a summary of the Project "Improving provincial coordination capacity in monitoring and implementing the Law on Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control for a smoke-free Vietnam" and shared lessons learned in tobacco harm prevention and control in Nghe An province.
Attending the summary meeting were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Vinh City People's Committee and wards and communes in the city; Center for Health and Population Initiatives; Nghe An Center for Disease Control.
With the permission of Nghe An Department of Health, from October 2023 to January 2025, Nghe An Center for Disease Control in coordination with the Center for Health and Population Initiatives will implement the Project "Improving provincial coordination capacity in monitoring and implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Tobacco".cigarettefor a smoke-free Vietnam".

Conducting an interdisciplinary inspection of tobacco harm prevention and control, from November 25 to December 3, 2024, the inspection team established by the Department of Health (with the participation of officials from the Department of Health, Vinh City Police and the Department of Culture and Sports) inspected 12 restaurants and hotels in Vinh City.
