In episode 16 of the seriesboundary lineNew details suggest that Chấn – the husband of prosecutor Thu – may be involved in the multi-billion dollar gambling ring currently under investigation. The police have discovered a connection between him and an individual involved in the case.
Specifically, the investigating agency officially informed prosecutor Thu Huong about new leads. Accordingly, Chan, currently the Deputy Head of the Viet Dong Tax Department, had a relationship with Duc, who died, and was a link in Vien's gambling ring.
Suspicions arise from unusual circumstances.
Alongside the police investigation, Thu also began to harbor suspicions about her husband after a series of suspicious events occurred while Chấn was receiving treatment at the hospital.
During a tense conversation in the bedroom, Thu questioned her husband about the presence of a strange woman and a high-limit, password-free bank card found on his hospital bed.
"Suddenly she appeared, waiting for us to give us gifts, and then suddenly there was a high-limit bank card on your hospital bed, allowing you to spend freely without needing a password... Answer me this question – have you ever done anything that crossed the line or violated the law before?", Thu frankly asked her husband.

Faced with his wife's firm attitude and direct questions, Chấn didn't give a clear answer. Instead, he responded vaguely: "I know your personality; once suspicion takes root in your thoughts, you'll see it through to the end... I just wanted to remind you that in work, there will be ups and downs, and it's important to maintain your integrity and not be tempted."
In addition, investigators also found evidence suggesting Vinh had connections with several other provincial officials, expanding the scope of the investigation into the case.
