The Line, Episode 18: Thieu is threatened by a stranger with a gun.

A new danger emerged after Viên was assassinated.

In episode 18 of the seriesboundary lineAfter successfully eliminating Yuan, Shao thought he had resolved a major concern. However, an unexpected incident occurred at his own home. A stranger, armed with a gun, broke in and claimed to be Shao's "good friend," signaling a new and more dangerous threat.

Previously, Yuan had attempted to flee the country at Shao's arrangement. Despite his wife's warnings not to trust Shao, Yuan followed her advice. Sensing something was wrong when Shao didn't appear and noticing the driver's suspicious behavior, Yuan tried to escape into the forest.

However, the escape attempt failed. Thieu's men pursued and killed Vien with a single gunshot. The mission was reported accomplished, but the appearance of the stranger revealed that Thieu's complex relationships and illicit dealings still held many unsolved mysteries.

Thieu approached President Thuy, plotting a grand scheme.

Alongside addressing the threats, Thieu was also actively expanding his influence. He took advantage of Chairman Thuy's field trip to a clean agricultural area to approach a high-ranking provincial leader.

With covert support from Triển and the presence of Khánh's assistant (a Hanoi official and Thiệu's uncle), Thiệu successfully arranged a private dinner with President Thủy. There, Thiệu presented his plan for circular agriculture combined with ecotourism and expressed his desire for support.

Although he considered the plan promising, Mr. Thuy seemed unenthusiastic and assigned Trien to take charge of coordination. This attitude from the Provincial Chairman made the Chief of Staff of the Committee realize something was amiss.

The Trinh Tam apartment building case continues to exert pressure.

The issue surrounding the Trinh Tam apartment building remains a hot topic, attracting the attention of both Mr. Sach and Mr. Thuy. Residents continue to gather at the Trinh Tam Group's building to demand their rights regarding ownership certificates, causing a disruption of public order and security.

Witnessing the situation, Mr. Sach requested Trien to handle it. This issue put the provincial government in a difficult position, having to balance the interests of the people and the businesses. In a conversation, Mr. Than also explained to Mr. Sach the difficulties his son faced in obtaining a land ownership certificate, stating that he did not dare to make a decision on his own without instructions.

As for Trinh, she had to confront Ms. Phuoc, the residents' representative, in a tense confrontation. Despite her attempts to explain, Trinh was unable to convince the residents to accept the delay.

Chairwoman Thuy has directed that the issue be resolved through peaceful dialogue, and the final outcome will be decided at the upcoming Standing Committee meeting.
