Recognizing Hong Thu as the most trustworthy person, Vien wanted to ensure his own safety and that of his family before cooperating with the investigating authorities.
Viên said to Hồng Thu, "Real life is just like the internet; you have to know how to hide yourself to survive." In response, Hồng Thu frankly advised, "But you can't hide forever. I think you should seriously consider turning yourself in. Even if you haven't been caught, you can't leave Việt Đông."
