The Line, Episode 4: Mr. Sach faces pressure from his former boss and family.
Episode 4 of the series "The Dividing Line" puts Deputy Secretary Sach in a difficult position when his former boss asks him to "secure a position" for his son, while at the same time his wife's nephew is accused of misusing public funds.
In episode 4 of the series "The Dividing Line," Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Sach faces immense pressure from both his work and personal relationships. He is not only awkward about a request from his former boss but also has to deal with a scandal involving his wife's nephew, all while a large-scale gambling case is being urgently investigated.
Deputy Secretary Sách was put in an awkward position by a request from his former superior.
Mr. Than, the former provincial chairman, met directly with Mr. Sach to ask for his help in promoting his son, Van, who currently holds the position of Director of the Land Registration Office. Mr. Than subtly reminded him of his past efforts to promote Mr. Sach and expressed his desire for his son to be appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department.

However, Mr. Sach explained that personnel arrangements are currently very difficult because the province is implementing a plan to streamline the administrative apparatus. The decision-making authority rests with the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, directly supervised by Secretary Tran Son. When asked about Van's strengths, Mr. Than said that his son's "doing the right thing" for five years and his good communication skills were already an achievement.
This meeting further troubled Mr. Sach about the belief that many people had to go to his house to "secure a position." He expressed this concern to his wife and affirmed that all personnel decisions must be made collectively by the Standing Committee.
The wife's nephew is accused of wrongdoing, and the family is under pressure.
At the same time, Mr. Sach received information about an anonymous letter accusing Vu Van Suong, the former Vice Chairman of Thuan Duong commune and his wife's nephew. Suong was accused of misusing budget funds intended for building a cultural center and legitimizing personal land, leading to disputes before the commune merger.

This incident occurred just before the Central Inspection Team was scheduled to arrive, which greatly angered Mr. Sach. He ordered his subordinates to conduct a thorough investigation and review before reporting to the Standing Committee. Meanwhile, Trien met with Mrs. Tu, Mr. Sach's wife, to advise her not to get involved in Suong's affairs to avoid affecting her husband.
The complex developments in the large-scale gambling case.
Alongside Mr. Sach's personal troubles, the investigation into the large-scale gambling ring continues. Investigators report that the case is very complex; although some evidence has been gathered, a significant amount of server data has been erased. The key suspect, Tran Chuong, who directly erased the data, has been placed under temporary detention by the Prosecutor's Office.

Deputy Chief Prosecutor Bui Hang Thu emphasized that all professional measures must comply with the law. Meanwhile, Thu was completely unaware that she had become the target of a vested interest group involved in another case. A lawyer tried to contact her and Mr. Sach through Trien but failed, and warned Thu that she could get into trouble if she continued to pursue the case.
