In episode 4 of the film Borderline, Trien, Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, was pressured by defendant Ky's lawyer to arrange a meeting with his 'childhood friend', the Deputy Chief Prosecutor.
In the latest developments of the film Borderline episode 4, the character Trien - Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office - had a secret meeting with the defendant Ky's lawyer. This meeting put Trien in a difficult situation when he was asked to connect an important appointment related to the bribery case in Dong San area.

Secret meeting and warning
The bribery case of projects in Dong San area became complicated when defendant Ky began to reveal many details about "protection and bidding by officials". These statements could affect many individuals in power. Facing Ky's lawyer, Trien calmly said: "I have heard about this story, but the truth will wait for the investigation agency".
However, the lawyer warned about the seriousness of the case: “It is true that people intervened, but it is very complicated. Can the provincial police reach into any restricted areas? This will affect the province and the investment environment. More importantly, there will be deaths and injuries. You don’t want that to happen, do you?”

Request connection with 'childhood friend'
Despite the warnings, Trien remained adamant and claimed he was not involved. Seeing this, the lawyer revealed the real purpose of the meeting. He wanted Trien to arrange an appointment with Deputy Chief Prosecutor Bui Hang Thu, who was described as Trien's "childhood friend".
The lawyer hinted that Ms. Thu’s continued persistence in the case could get her into serious trouble. When Trien was still not convinced, the lawyer asked Trien to arrange a meeting with Mr. Sach.

Will Trien accept the lawyer's request to protect his old friend and keep the province stable? Details will be revealed in episode 4 of Borderline, airing at 9pm tonight on VTV1.
