In episode 50 of the series "The Dividing Line," the investigation into misconduct by high-ranking officials and criminal organizations takes a significant turn. The police directly worked with Chairman Thuy to gather documents related to public investment projects from 2015 to 2020. Simultaneously, authorities focused on accessing project files belonging to Trinh Tam to clarify any signs of legal violations.

Besides investigating old projects, the head of the Procuratorate received a complaint against Chairman Nguyen Van Thuy from a person named Khac. The complaint focused on Mr. Thuy's unilateral decision to implement the Dong Binh Lake project in 2022, despite the fact that there were still many conflicting opinions from various departments and agencies at that time.

Although the initial purpose of the pilot project to allocate the surface water of Dong Binh Lake was to support the livelihoods of the local people, the project actually involved interference from a business linked to Chairman Thuy's younger brother. This made the matter sensitive, forcing the prosecuting authorities to report directly to the relevant agencies for timely guidance and handling.

Thieu planned to escape the border and conspired to eliminate witnesses.

Under pressure from the investigating authorities, Thieu prepared a plan to flee abroad by fishing boat. Notably, to ensure the safety of his escape, Thieu ordered his subordinates to keep an eye on Nguyet at the hospital and prevent her from regaining consciousness. This was a cruel move aimed at eliminating the most important witness in the case.

Meanwhile, at the police station, although Hai Phung admitted to illegally detaining Nguyet, he remained defiant. Phung repeatedly gave evasive statements, believing that Thieu would find a way to get him acquitted.

Trien is gathering crucial evidence from Huyen.

Another turning point in episode 50 is that Trien officially obtains Trinh's confidential documents. Through Huyen, Trien gained access to a file containing many important papers that she had secretly photographed. These are considered irrefutable pieces of evidence that could change the course of the Trinh Tam case currently under investigation.
