Billion-dollar gambling ring is gradually being exposed.

The main plot of episode 6 of the series "The Dividing Line" centers on Vinh, a relative of Trinh Van Khac, seeking a loan to pay for his mother's emergency medical care. However, Khac quickly discovers the truth: Vinh has lied. The real reason is that Vinh is deeply involved in gambling, has been cheated out of his money by Vien, and is now on the run.

The matter went beyond mere family conflict. Based on Vinh's testimony, a large-scale online gambling ring led by Vien was uncovered. Notably, this ring involved numerous provincial-level officials, making the case exceptionally serious and complex.

These encounters were full of calculations.

Alongside the case storyline, other complex relationships are also vividly portrayed. Deputy Chief Prosecutor Hang Thu meets with her old friend Trien (played by Manh Truong). Despite the seemingly friendly atmosphere of the meeting, Trien skillfully inquires about the investment contract dispute between Dong Phong Company and its foreign partner, a case that Hang Thu is directly handling.

However, Hang Thu demonstrated her sharp wit and principles by responding directly: "If you ask something I can't answer, and you don't explain why, what's the point of asking? It's best for old friends to just have a class reunion."

Family turmoil and underlying conflicts

Hang Thu's personal life also faced its share of challenges. Her husband, Chan, became annoyed when he couldn't contact her and caught her having dinner alone with a male friend. He expressed his frustration at his wife's excessive focus on work, neglecting the family, especially since his parents were planning to move in and needed to discuss house renovations.

Faced with her husband's reproaches, Hang Thu gently explained and supported the plan to welcome her grandparents. The dialogue ended with a temporary reconciliation, revealing the underlying cracks in their marriage.

At the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Sach (played by People's Artist Trung Anh) receives a report that Secretary Son has requested the addition of Le Trinh's file to the planning list. Mr. Sach's question reveals his feeling of being excluded from important personnel decisions, exposing underlying power struggles.

Meanwhile, Triển continued to demonstrate his role as a calculating and powerful figure. He arranged for Trinh, a businessman, to meet directly with Provincial Chairman Thủy to resolve obstacles in a real estate project. Although Mr. Thủy maintained a firm stance and refused gifts, this meeting showcased Triển's networking abilities and influence within political and business circles.
