The Borderline Episode 6: Mr. Sach is outwitted, his power begins to shake
In episode 6 of the film "The Borderline", Mr. Sach (People's Artist Trung Anh) was stunned to learn that he was the last person to be informed about an important personnel decision, signaling a change in power at the provincial party committee.
Episode 6 of the political drama "The Line" pushes the conflicts to a climax when cracks in power and personal relationships become increasingly apparent. Most notably, the situation where Permanent Deputy Secretary Sach (People's Artist Trung Anh) realizes his position is shaky when he is bypassed in a key personnel decision.
Signs of power cracks in the provincial party committee
At the provincial party committee office, Mr. Sach received a report that Secretary Son had requested to add the profile of cadre Le Trinh to the personnel review list. This information surprised him, because as the Standing Deputy Secretary, he had not known in advance.
"According to the procedure, Mr. Thuy, the Provincial Chairman, has already approved it, right? Does that mean I am the last person to know?", Mr. Sach said to his subordinate. Although his tone remained calm, his question revealed dissatisfaction and the mindset of someone who felt his power was being ignored.
Mr. Thuy is wary of Trien.
In another development, the relationship between Mr. Thuy (Meritorious Artist Pham Cuong) and Trien (Manh Truong) also shows complexity. Mr. Thuy clearly understands that Trien is a confidant of Mr. Sach, the previous leader. Although he shows high appreciation for Trien's loyalty, Mr. Thuy still maintains a certain distance and vigilance.
"Loyalty is a valuable quality, I appreciate you for that," Mr. Thuy said to Trien. This compliment was both a recognition and a hidden reminder of Trien's old relationship, showing that Mr. Thuy did not completely trust this subordinate.
Storms in Thu and Chan's marriage
The family storyline also has some tension when Chan (Ha Viet Dung), Thu's (Hong Diem) husband, begins to show suspicions about his wife. He feels abandoned when he cannot contact Thu all morning, only to discover that she is having lunch with her old friend, Trien.
"I haven't been able to call you since this morning. I thought you were busy with work, but it turns out you were busy meeting an old friend?", Chan questioned his wife in a sulky tone. Although Thu explained that she forgot to tell him because she was busy with a meeting and was suddenly invited out to dinner, this incident sowed the seeds of conflict and doubt in their marriage.
New details will continue to be revealed in episode 6 of "The Borderline", broadcast at 9:00 p.m. on November 6 on VTV1 channel.
