Episode 9 of "The Dividing Line" reveals a tense battle of wits between candidates Triển, Khắc, and Chỉnh. Mr. Sách and Chairman Thủy both have their own calculations for this important position.
The power struggle is heating up.
Episode 9 of the series "The Dividing Line" continues to explore the fierce competition for the position of Director of the new Department of Finance after the merger. The strong candidates, including Triển (Mạnh Trường), Khắc (Tiến Lộc), and Lê Chỉnh, each possess their own strengths and weaknesses, putting the leadership of Việt Đông province in a difficult position as they must make the final decision.

Internal power struggles within the leadership.
During a conversation, Mr. Sach and Chairman Thuy frankly discussed the candidates, thereby revealing their own calculations and the divisions within the provincial leadership.
Mr. Sach showed Khac the way.
Having initially supported Khac, the Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, Mr. Sach analyzed the situation and advised his subordinate to "slow down a notch" to gain support from the Standing Committee. Mr. Sach remarked, "You have the ability and practical experience, but this game isn't just for you alone." He also expressed caution regarding Secretary Son's unpredictable calculations in including Chinh on the list of candidates.

Chairman Thuy sided with Trien.
Conversely, Chairman Thuy openly expressed his support for Trien, the Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office. During a conversation with Trien, Mr. Thuy said: "I think we should vote for you... What if you are chosen?" Despite the surprise, Trien affirmed that he would do his best.

The unpredictable factor: Le Chinh
The remaining candidate, Le Chinh - Head of the Industrial Park Management Board, is considered an unpredictable factor. Mr. Sach believes that Chinh is straightforward but "his working style is somewhat rigid and individualistic," something to consider.
This firmness was evident in a meeting when Chinh vehemently opposed the Trinh Tam project: "This 20-hectare plot of land was planned as a green space, and now it's being transformed into a high-rise commercial complex. That's not flexibility; it's destroying the planning." This resolute attitude created a tense atmosphere at the meeting and was one of the reasons Mr. Sach was dissatisfied.
The subsequent developments and who will prevail in this power struggle will be revealed inThe Line, Episode 9, airing at 9 PM on November 12th on VTV1 channel.
