Episode 9 of the series 'The Dividing Line' becomes dramatic when Trien frankly rejects the promotion opportunity, while at the same time, candidate Le Chinh unexpectedly appears on the list of nominees for the position of Department Director.
The race for Department Director is in turmoil because of a new candidate.
The situation in episode 9 of the series "The Dividing Line" becomes tense as the list of candidates for the position of Director of the Department of Finance of Viet Dong province undergoes a sudden change. After candidate Huy voluntarily withdrew, the race is left with only Trien and Khac. However, the appearance of Le Chinh, Head of the Industrial Park Project Management Board, has complicated the situation.
Le Chinh's application was reviewed and supplemented by the Provincial Organization Department at the request of Secretary Son. Mr. Son highly praised Le Chinh's strong and effective work style, despite the controversies surrounding him, including his fierce opposition to the Trinh Tam project and issues at the Dong Phong project.
This change prompted a private discussion between Chairman Thuy and Mr. Sach. Both agreed that Secretary Son's inclusion of Le Chinh on the list was a calculated move aimed at prolonging the decision-making process. Mr. Sach argued that Le Chinh had a rigid and self-centered working style, while Mr. Thuy emphasized the importance of ethics and the ability to unite people in a leadership position.

Amidst the heated race for the position, Triển made a surprising decision. Despite being highly regarded by Chairman Thủy for his abilities and tact, and receiving support for the new Director of the Department, Triển frankly declined the offer.
During a conversation with Chairman Thuy, Trien expressed his desire to continue contributing in his current position. "I need to try harder, sir," Trien said, adding that he still feels suited to the work at the Committee. This decision by Trien is believed to potentially block his own "way out" amidst the spreading rumors.
Khac was bewildered and sought guidance.
The appearance of Le Chinh made Khac, another candidate, quite worried. He went to Mr. Sach's house to seek guidance and ask for help for Vinh in the case related to the gambling ring.
Mr. Sach analyzed the situation and advised Khac to slow down, not to rush into a direct confrontation, but to have a strategy to garner the Standing Committee's support. "If you want to win, you shouldn't just confront one person, but find a way to draw the attention of many people toward you... rushing will only harm yourself," Mr. Sach said. However, this advice didn't seem to reassure Khac; he left with a dazed and worried expression.
