With the theme "Solidarity, creativity, innovation, aspiration, development", this year's Workers' Month of the Vietnam General Confederation of LaborYen Thanh districtwas launched in mid-April with a series of practical and diverse activities aimed at workers. After the launching ceremony, trade union organizations from the district to the grassroots level in Yen Thanh focused on promoting the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", productivity, quality, efficiency, completing production and business tasks well, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, focusing on preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic; taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers and laborers; accompanying workers in mobilizing funds to build "Trade Union Shelters"; visiting and giving gifts to union members and poor workers in difficult circumstances; providing health check-ups for workers; implementing well the union member welfare program, the "75 thousand initiatives and experiences" program, praising exemplary workers' families...

Workers' Month this year, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, many activities could not be organized as planned. However, by focusing on the quality of the program instead of the scale, the Workers' Month of the Yen Thanh District Labor Federation still "scored points" in the hearts of workers and laborers, especially the "Commendation" Programtypical family of workers and civil servants”. With the form of cluster commendation, 100% of grassroots unions under the Yen Thanh District Labor Federation participated in this meaningful program. With a sense of responsibility and impartiality, the District Labor Federation surveyed and selected typical cases of workers, civil servants, and laborers in performing their professional tasks well, achieving high achievements in labor, production, scientific and technological innovation activities, exemplary in building happy homes, joining hands to help and share with the community... Accordingly, with 5 emulation clusters, the District Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to 140 typical families in the area.

They are people like Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - a teacher at Dai Minh Secondary School. In a family of four generations, she and her husband take care of their grandparents, elderly parents and sick relatives, while teaching and guiding their children to study well and completing their professional tasks excellently. Or like Ms. Nguyen Thi Dao - a teacher at Phuc Thanh Primary School. Her husband passed away when her first child was only 8 years old, she alone takes care of her parents-in-law and 2 young children with a meager contract salary. Every time difficulties come, sometimes the serious illness of her father-in-law, sometimes the hospital visits of her mother-in-law, sometimes the illnesses of her children..., she wipes away her tears and gets up to continue. After 15 years of professional efforts, Ms. Dao was signed a contract, stabilizing the spirit of her grandparents and 2 children who have excellent academic achievements every year.

At these recognition ceremonies, many people could not hide their emotions and burst into tears when listening to the specific circumstances of union members. In the face of adversity, these workers, civil servants and laborers chose to stand up and become stronger to overcome the challenges. Sharing after the program "Recognizing exemplary families of workers, civil servants and laborers" at Emulation Cluster No. 4, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa could not hide her emotions: "I really thank the union organization for creating such a meaningful and humane program. This is an opportunity for us workers to share, understand each other better, exchange and learn and work together to make more efforts in the future."

Sharing about this, Chairman of Yen Thanh District Labor Federation, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hong said: “The activities of the district trade union always closely follow the goals of the Party's Resolution and the resolutions and work programs of the higher-level trade unions, regularly taking advantage of the leadership of the Provincial Labor Federation, the close direction of Party committees at all levels, building a cooperative relationship with the government, professionals and organizations in the political system of sectors, organizations and unions in the political system to carry out the assigned tasks. Besides the function of caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, the district Labor Federation always identifies propaganda work as one of the important factors”.

In recent years, the Yen Thanh District Labor Federation has coordinated with the District Culture and Communication Center to carry out propaganda work. Accordingly, any event organized by the District Labor Federation is promptly reported on the media, social networks... with quality images and full information. This dissemination is not only beneficial to workers, creating an image for businesses but also recognized by local authorities, agencies, departments and branches, creating favorable conditions for trade unions in the following activities.
