Nghi Duc wine-making village recognized as traditional craft village

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 20, Xuan Trung hamlet, Nghi Duc commune (Vinh city) held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition for the traditional rice wine making craft village.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Cooperative Union and the Vinh City People's Committee.

The wine-making village in Xuan Trung hamlet, Nghi Duc commune has been a long-standing profession. Since 2011, based on the incentive and motivational policies of the province and city, the commune has encouraged people to restore the traditional craft village.

Up to now, the whole hamlet has 115/212 households making wine. At the end of 2016, the Provincial People's Committee decided to recognize the village with the wine making profession in Xuan Trung hamlet. Currently, along with improving quality and ensuring food hygiene and safety. Some households have initially registered trademarks and developed brands to expand the market. In addition to creating jobs for about 120 workers, with a value of nearly 10 billion VND per year, the traditional wine making profession also contributes to the strong development of the livestock farming profession of the hamlet and commune.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for the craft village, the representative of the Nghi Duc Commune People's Committee suggested that along with investing in improving production capacity, households must continuously improve quality and strictly comply with regulations on food hygiene and safety in wine production.

On the occasion of receiving the DiplomaIn recognition of the craft village, Nghi Duc Commune People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with achievements in building and developing craft villages./.
