(Baonghean.vn) - The incense-making village in Hamlet 13, Phuc Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District has a history of over 20 years. Previously, the village specialized in producing toothpicks, but later the people shifted the product structure, forming an incense-making village.
| In 2010, the craft village was recognized at the provincial level with 35 households specializing in incense stick production. The main raw material for incense sticks is bamboo. The bamboo is purchased from the mountainous areas, processed by machines to be split into small sticks, dyed with colors, and then dried in the open air. |
| In Phuc Thanh, the family of Mr. Pham Van Phu and his wife, Nguyen Thanh Tra Tam, is currently building the largest production facility in the village. This facility provides employment for 8-10 workers with an income of over 3 million VND. |

| Incense sticks are fed into a machine to be compressed with incense powder, which consists of main ingredients such as incense roots, cinnamon bark, sugarcane bagasse, etc., to form complete incense sticks. |
| Bring the incense sticks into the workshop to be dried and stored by fans. |
| After being dried using industrial fans, the incense sticks are taken out to dry in the sun. In the photo: workers are drying and inspecting the incense sticks. Residents of Phuc Thanh incense-making village say that the village is bustling from September to March of the following year. This is the peak season for the village to prepare goods for Tet (Lunar New Year) for customers from all over. |
