On the afternoon of May 13th, a delegation from the National Examination Steering Committee, led by Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong, worked with the provincial Examination Steering Committee on preparations for the 2026 High School Graduation Examination.
Receiving and working with the delegation were Comrade Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2026 High School Graduation Examination, along with representatives from relevant departments and agencies.

The 2026 high school graduation exam will take place over two days, June 11th and 12th. This year, Nghe An province has 42,129 registered candidates; 71 examination centers with 1,810 examination rooms have been arranged; 4,310 invigilators have been mobilized, and an estimated 490 examiners are expected.
To ensure the exam is conducted safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations, the Provincial People's Committee has established a Provincial Exam Steering Committee and issued numerous directives to departments, agencies, and localities to prepare all necessary conditions.

The province has developed contingency plans; arranged accommodation and meals for officials, teachers, and candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds; and prepared backup power sources to serve the camera system, grading machines, and other technical conditions throughout the examination period. The province has also strengthened its advisory, support, and collaborative efforts with students and teachers during the examination season…

Following an on-site inspection of the planned exam paper printing and marking areas and examination rooms at Le Viet Thuat High School, and after listening to the opinions and suggestions exchanged during the working session, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong highly appreciated Nghe An province's proactive and systematic approach in preparing for the 2026 High School Graduation Examination.

Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong requested the Steering Committee for the Examination in Nghe An province to continue strengthening inspection and supervision, and to absolutely avoid complacency at any stage.
In particular, attention should be paid to measures to prevent and combat exam cheating using high-tech devices; ensuring the safety and security of exam papers; and developing effective plans to handle unforeseen situations, especially in the context of the first year of implementing a two-tiered local government system.

To accomplish this task effectively, coordination is crucial to ensure clarity regarding personnel, tasks, responsibilities, and timelines, avoiding overlaps during implementation.
In addition, it is necessary to continue improving the quality of professional work and expertise; paying attention to supporting students in the process of reviewing and consolidating knowledge; ensuring adequate facilities and equipment for the exam; and strengthening communication efforts to create a sense of reassurance and avoid unnecessary pressure and stress for students and parents.
Nghe An province continues to closely follow the directives of the Ministry of Education and Training, proactively conducting a comprehensive review of all organizational aspects, and fully incorporating the feedback from the working group in order to organize the 2026 High School Graduation Examination safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thai Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed gratitude for the attention and guidance from the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and the working group; he also fully accepted the feedback and pledged to continue reviewing and perfecting the tasks in accordance with the directives of the National Examination Steering Committee to ensure that the 2026 high school graduation exam takes place safely, seriously, and achieves the best possible results.
