Throughout the revolutionary journey of the Party and the nation, with the aspiration and belief in the truth that "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom," and with the spirit of "Fighting to the death for the Fatherland," generations of outstanding sons and daughters of Vietnam have bravely volunteered to go to the battlefield, fought heroically, and sacrificed themselves to fulfill their duties for the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, and for the peace and happiness of the people. For the past 76 years, following Uncle Ho's teachings, the Party, the State, and the people of Vietnam have always paid attention to and cared for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and their families. The scope of those who have rendered meritorious services has expanded, and the preferential treatment has been continuously improved, coupled with the assurance of fairness and social consensus.
