Party and State leaders visit the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh.
On the morning of April 30th, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and paid respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2020).

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former President Tran Duc Luong; former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An; Standing Member of the Party Central Committee Tran Quoc Vuong; members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee, former members of the Politburo, former Secretaries of the Party Central Committee and leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations… attended the memorial ceremony.
Before the sacred image of President Ho Chi Minh, the leaders of the Party and State respectfully expressed their boundless gratitude for his contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and nation. He dedicated his entire life to the people and the country, leading our Party and people to glorious victories. Fulfilling his sacred last wishes, the entire Party, army, and people have completed the liberation of the South, reunified the country, and led the entire nation towards building socialism.

April 30, 1975, has gone down in national history as a glorious milestone. The Spring Offensive and Uprising of 1975, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberated the South and unified the country. From then on, the entire Party, people, and army focused their strength and intellect on healing the wounds of war, actively building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, and achieved many important and comprehensive accomplishments.

After visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the delegation proceeded to lay wreaths and offer incense in commemoration of the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street. In a solemn atmosphere, the Party and State leaders expressed their remembrance of the outstanding sons and daughters of the nation who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people. The wreath from the delegation bore the inscription: "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs."
Next, the delegation of Party and State leaders offered incense at the dragon steps of the Kính Thiên Palace, in the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site; and visited the revolutionary relics of House and Tunnel D67.
