Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum

On the morning of April 30, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2020).

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former President Tran Duc Luong; former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, former Politburo members, former Party Central Committee Secretaries and leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations... attended the funeral.

Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party and State leaders respectfully expressed their infinite gratitude for his contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and nation. He devoted his whole life to the people and the country, leading our Party and people to glorious victories. Fulfilling Uncle Ho's sacred wishes, our entire Party, army and people completed the cause of liberating the South, reunifying the country, and leading the whole country to build socialism.

April 30, 1975 has gone down in the history of the nation as a brilliant milestone. The General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberated the South and reunified the country. From then on, our entire Party, people and army focused their strength and intelligence on healing the wounds of war, actively building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam and achieved many important and comprehensive achievements.

After visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the delegation laid wreaths, offered incense, and commemorated the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Memorial on Bac Son Street. In a solemn atmosphere, the Party and State leaders expressed their gratitude to the nation's outstanding sons who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people. The delegation's wreath bore the inscription: "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".

Next, the delegation of Party and State leaders offered incense at the dragon threshold of Kinh Thien Palace, Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site; visited the revolutionary relic House and Bunker D67.
