Party and State leaders pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh.
On the morning of May 18th, a delegation of current and former leaders of the Party and State came to lay wreaths and pay respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh.
To commemorate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), on the morning of May 18, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Party and State laid wreaths, visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and offered incense and paid respects at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street.
The delegation included Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with other Politburo members, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Party, representatives of central committees, ministries, branches, and mass organizations, and former leaders of the Party and State.
The wreath laid by the delegation bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".


Before the sacred image of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation expressed their boundless gratitude and profound respect for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the cause of national liberation, reunification of the country, and building a socialist Vietnam.
President Ho Chi Minh was born on May 19, 1890, into a patriotic scholarly family in Kim Lien village, Nam Lien commune (now Kim Lien commune), Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.
He was a great communist, an outstanding national hero, a brilliant internationalist, who tirelessly fought and dedicated his entire life to the Fatherland and the people, serving as a shining example for all generations of Vietnamese people.
Although he has passed away, his image lives on in the hearts of the Vietnamese people and peace-loving, justice-seeking people around the world. May 19th each year is an occasion for every Vietnamese citizen at home, overseas, and close friends around the world to solemnly commemorate his birthday.


Earlier that morning, delegations from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the city of Hanoi laid wreaths and paid respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, and also laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street.
