Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum on the occasion of National Day.

To commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2017) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2017), on the morning of September 1, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and paid respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh.

Attending the memorial ceremony were General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; former General Secretaries Le Kha Phieu and Nong Duc Manh; President Tran Dai Quang; former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Van An and Nguyen Sinh Hung; and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man.

Party and State leaders, former Party and State leaders; members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Central Committee, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, Vice Prime Ministers; veteran revolutionaries and leaders of central committees, ministries, branches, and mass organizations all attended the memorial ceremony.

The wreath laid by the delegation bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh."

With boundless gratitude, the delegation respectfully commemorated the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader and beloved teacher of the Party and the nation. He dedicated his entire life to the cause of national liberation, reunification of the country, and building an independent and unified Vietnam.

Currently, the entire Party, people, and army are implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style," in conjunction with Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee on strengthening Party building and rectification; preventing and repelling the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and the manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

The entire Party, army, and people of Vietnam are determined to persevere on the path chosen by President Ho Chi Minh, striving to creatively apply his ideas to elevate the revolutionary cause he left behind to new heights, standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the world.

Following that, the delegation from the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and paid respects to the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi.

The delegation bowed in remembrance of the heroic martyrs – the outstanding sons and daughters of the nation who selflessly shed their blood and bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people. The wreath laid by the delegation bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs."

On the same day, delegations from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hanoi City Party Committee and People's Committee, the Diplomatic Corps, and the Steering Committee for coordinating activities of the Ba Dinh historical and cultural relic complex... laid wreaths and paid respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh; and laid wreaths and commemorated the Heroes and Martyrs at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.
