Leaders of the Provincial People's Council congratulated Dong Hieu High School on November 20th.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 18th, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council – visited Dong Hieu High School (Thai Hoa town) to congratulate the school on its 15th anniversary (November 18, 2001 - November 18, 2016) and the 34th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2016).

Accompanying them were representatives from the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, leaders and specialists from provincial departments, Thai Hoa town and Nghia Dan district; agencies and businesses in the area; and teachers and students of the school.

Dong Hieu High School was established in 2001, initially located in Hamlet 8, Nghia Thuan Commune, with 8 classrooms and 352 students. The school was founded to fulfill the aspirations of the people and students in the Southeast region.

Since its establishment, with the consensus and active support of provincial and district leaders and the people, and with the tradition of "Unity - overcoming difficulties to excellently fulfill tasks," the school has continuously grown in size and teaching staff. To date, after 15 years of establishment, the school has 31 classes with 1073 students, 80 teachers and staff, and a Party branch with 45 members.

The school has 23 teachers with Master's degrees, of which 15 are currently working at the school; 8 teachers have been recognized as excellent teachers at the provincial level. Many teachers have received commendations from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Education Union, the Central Youth Union, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Federation of Labor.

Comrade Hoang Viet Duong congratulated the teachers and students of Dong Hieu High School.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of both teachers and students, the quality of teaching and learning has continuously improved. The school has had 45 students achieve excellent results at the provincial level, from third prize upwards, including 4 first prizes, 9 second prizes, and hundreds of consolation prizes. Many students have achieved high scores in the university entrance exams. The annual graduation rate is 97-100%.

For many years in a row, the school's Party branch has been a clean and strong branch; the school has consistently achieved the status of an advanced unit; the Trade Union has received commendations from the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Vietnam Education Trade Union; and the Youth Union has received commendations from the Provincial Youth Union and the Central Youth Union.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented flowers and gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Council, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Hoang Viet Duong congratulated the teachers and students of Dong Hieu High School on its 15th anniversary and the 34th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. He warmly praised the efforts and achievements of the school's teachers and students.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council expressed his hope that in the coming time, the collective of teachers and students of the school will demonstrate strong determination in the teaching and learning movement; building a "friendly school, active students". The teaching staff will develop a love for their profession, meet and exceed standards; and effectively implement the movement "Every teacher is a role model of morality, self-learning and creativity". They will maintain discipline and order in teaching and learning. They will strongly innovate educational management towards improving effectiveness, aiming to transform professional activities and make Dong Hieu High School a national standard school.

On this occasion, Comrade Hoang Viet Duong presented a flower basket and gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Council, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to Dong Hieu High School. He also presented certificates of commendation from the Provincial Chairman to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results and made positive contributions to the construction and development of the school.

The Trade Union of Dong Hieu High School also received a certificate of commendation from the Vietnam Education Trade Union for its participation in the "teaching well, learning well" emulation movement.

Representatives from the Provincial Department of Education and Training presented a Certificate of Commendation from the Vietnam Education Union to the Trade Union of Dong Hieu High School.
