Anh Son district leaders visit family whose house collapsed due to flood

(Baonghean.vn) – On September 14, leaders of Anh Son district came to encourage and give money to support the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Cay in village 7, Thach Son commune, whose house collapsed due to the impact of storm No. 4.

Due to the impact of storm No. 4, in the past few days in Anh Son district, there has been heavy rain and strong winds. At about 3:15 a.m. on September 14, 2016, heavy rain caused the level 4 house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cay (76 years old) to collapse completely. At that time, in the house, there was only Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cay and her grandchild Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (11 years old) who were sleeping soundly when they heard the landslide. Mrs. Cay risked calling her grandchild Ha to run out of the house. As soon as she got out of the door, the house collapsed, a large amount of rock, soil, and concrete crushed the house and all the property inside. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Leaders of the People's Committee of Anh Son district and the Red Cross Association presented money to support Ms. Cay.

After receiving the news, the leaders of the District People's Committee and the District Red Cross came to encourage and give 2 million VND to Mrs. Cay, initially helping the family with some of the house repair costs and soon stabilizing their lives.
