Leaders from Bolikhamsai province, Laos, visit and extend New Year greetings to Nghe An province.
On the morning of February 4th, a delegation from Bolikhamsai province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, led by Comrade Khamven Pannhanuvong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee, visited Nghe An province to extend New Year greetings.
Comrade Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, presided over the reception of the delegation.
Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Dinh Bat Van - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Dinh Viet Dung - Director of the Provincial Police; Phung Thanh Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives of the leaders of provincial departments and agencies.
Comrade Khamven Pannhanuvong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee of Bolikhamsai, thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their warm and thoughtful reception; and congratulated the province on its socio-economic achievements in areas such as economic growth, budget revenue, and new rural development.
On the occasion of the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year, on behalf of the leaders of Bolikhamsai province, Comrade Khamven Pannhanuvong conveyed the best wishes of the Secretary of Bolikhamsai province to the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
Comrade Khamven Panhanuvong provided some key information on the socio-economic situation of Bolikhamsai province in 2025. Accordingly, despite many difficulties, the province continues to maintain political stability, social order and security, and the economy continues to grow.
Sharing some information about the cooperation between the two provinces in various fields, the Chairman of the Government Committee of Bolikhamsai Province expressed gratitude for the effective support from Nghe An Province over the years.
At the same time, both sides expressed their desire to continue strengthening effective cooperation in various fields. This included a proposal for Nghe An province to support scholarships for human resource training and infrastructure development in the border area with Bolikhamsai province.
Congratulating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Government Committee of Bolikhamsai Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, expressed confidence that Nghe An will achieve remarkable development in the new period; wishing that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, and between the two provinces in general, will forever flourish and endure for generations to come.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province emphasized that the visit of the delegation from Bolikhamsai province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, is a vivid testament to the loyal, special solidarity and close ties between the two provinces, as well as between the two Parties, two States, and the people of Vietnam and Laos. Based on the cooperation agreement signed in 2017, the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Bolikhamsai has been continuously strengthened and developed, achieving many practical results.
Regarding information on the socio-economic results of Nghe An province in 2025 and the orientations for 2026, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province Vo Trong Hai said that among many important projects to be started soon will be the Vinh - Thanh Thuy expressway.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Vo Trong Hai, extended his best wishes to the Lao People's Revolutionary Party for successfully organizing its 12th Congress and the 8th Congress of the Bolikhamsai Provincial Party Committee. He also congratulated Comrade Kham-ven Pan-nhanu-vong on being elected to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee for the new term.
We wish Bolikhamsai province continued success in building upon its achievements, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, and successfully fulfilling the goals set forth by the 8th Provincial Party Congress; building Bolikhamsai province into a stable, sustainable, and prosperous province.
At the same time, we hope that the two provinces of Nghe An and Bolikhamsai will continue to develop and cultivate the special friendship between the two peoples, two Parties, and two States, making it ever deeper, more practical, and more effective, "forever green and eternally enduring."
