Provincial leaders congratulate the Vocational College of Technology and Engineering.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 18th, the Vocational College of Economics, Industry and Handicrafts held its opening ceremony and celebrated Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, attended the ceremony.

The vocational school was established in 2001 with 56 teachers and staff. In the 2014-2015 academic year, the school provided training for 22,363 students. This year, the school has enrolled 377 students in traditional crafts, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and economics.

Since its establishment, in addition to centralized training, the school has also collaborated with businesses and production facilities to provide training in local areas and craft villages, and expanded its training partnerships to continuing education centers in districts. Along with training, the school has effectively organized job placement services both domestically and internationally. As a result, after each training course, up to 90% of students find stable employment.

Presenting flowers and congratulating the teachers and students of the school, Comrade Le Xuan Dai expressed his delight at the achievements the school had made in the past year. He also hoped that the school would implement more new solutions and methods, and establish stronger links with businesses to create stable and sustainable job opportunities for students. In addition, he hoped for a training strategy that emphasizes practical skills and in-depth expertise in the fields and professions that the locality needs.

The comrade expressed his wish for the school to develop and grow stronger in all aspects, with concrete solutions to successfully implement Resolution 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive reform of education, training many highly skilled students to meet the needs of modernization and industrialization, and contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

The school received the Emulation Flag from the Provincial People's Committee.

The school awarded certificates of merit to 15 students who achieved high academic results in the 2014-2015 school year.

Also at the ceremony, the school was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in comprehensively fulfilling its tasks and leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2014; and awarded prizes to 15 students who achieved high academic and creative results in the 2014-2015 school year.
